(Newser) – Dennis Rodman's North Korea "basketball diplomacy" already sounded like something out of a ridiculous movie ... so it's fitting that an upcoming comedy film was inspired by Rodman's mission and ensuing friendship with Kim Jong Un. The pitch for Diplomats has been purchased by 20th Century Fox, and the film will be directed by Tim Story (Ride Along) and produced by Peter Chernin (The Heat), according to the Hollywood Reporter. No word on whether "Happy Birthday" will be part of the film's soundtrack. (But consider a columnist's recent argument that "There's nothing funny about North Korea.")
