Hillary Clinton and John McCain are the projected winners in New York, CNN reports. The state's junior senator was expected to win the primary, but the race had tightened significantly in recent days. The Empire State awards 232 Democratic and 101 Republican delegates.

Former Big Apple mayor Rudy Giuliani endorsed John McCain when his own campaign petered out; his support may have helped the Arizonan tonight. (More John McCain stories.)
