Already out on bail for charges that he raped and drugged two LA women, Darren Sharper turned himself in to police last night on an arrest warrant alleging he raped two more women in New Orleans on Sept. 23. If you're keeping count, that now makes eight rape allegations against the former NFL star, the Los Angeles Times reports, while a separate LA Times story explains Sharper is being investigated in another New Orleans rape, as well as cases in Las Vegas and Tempe, Arizona. Court documents allege what the Times calls "a disturbing pattern in the incidents."

Victims have said they met Sharper, often at a nightclub, then went to his hotel room or home where he they say he gave them a drink and they then blacked out. When they awoke, they didn't remember what had happened, but suspected sexual assault. However, Sharper's lawyer said last week, per CNN, "It was all consensual contact with women who wanted to be in his company." In this most recent New Orleans case, "new information uncovered also indicates that (Sharper's acquaintance Eric) Nunez allegedly raped both women at the same location," a police spokeswoman said. An warrant was also issued for his arrest. Sharper could face life in prison without parole, notes CNN. (More Darren Sharper stories.)
