(Newser) – A woman driving drunk on a Florida highway had safely buckled up a case of Busch beer for a Super Bowl party—but not the year-old baby riding in the back of her car, according to police. The woman was pulled over after she ran a red light and was seen driving erratically near St. Augustine, reports First Coast News.

The deputy who walked to her car window noticed a case of beer in the front seat and belted in place. When she was asked why the baby girl in the back seat was not restrained, the driver answered: "I don't know." She told the deputy she'd never held a license and was running out of gas. It wasn't immediately clear if the baby was the woman's child.

Tina Williams, who police say buckled up her case of beer when she drove under the influence of alcohol - but not the baby girl in the back seat.

(NEWSER) - A kayak fisherman rescued a dog that fled into the Gulf of Mexico after its jogging owner was killed by a drunk driver. Rory O'Connor found the traumatized Vizsla swimming about half a mile from Florida's Siesta Key. "He was in a lot of distress," O'Connor tells WTSP . "He was shaking, and I thought it was because he was cold, but he was traumatized. He was also pretty beat up. His legs were bloody." (NEWSER) - This scandal is a bit worse than having a stripper past : Miss USA 2010, Rima Fakih, was arrested over the weekend in Michigan and faces drunken driving charges. Oddly, Fakih initially attempted to deny the reports, tweeting yesterday: "Let's clear things up now. ... I'm NOT in Michigan and I'm NOT in jail! Wrong Fakih."
