It was about a boy. Authorities say the missing Nebraska teenager discovered safe in Indianapolis after a four-day search was with a male companion, reports the Indianapolis Star. And the parents of Miss Nebraska Teen Michaela Wells add that it was a 16-year-old boy with whom she ran away. What's more, they apologized and said their home-schooled daughter will, too, once she gets home, reports the Omaha World-Herald.

“We would like to apologize as parents for our daughter's choice in choosing to run away and thus causing significant worry in communities and uncertainty about the safety of their own children,” said Theresa and Bruce Norris on Facebook. “We believe Michaela will come to realize this as well when she arrives home and makes her own apology, too.” Police in her hometown of Bellevue got the FBI involved after she vanished while taking out the garbage Monday night. Authorities tracked her down thanks to messages on electronic devices she left behind. (More Michaela Wells stories.)
