(Newser) – A federal judge in Nashville ordered Tennessee to recognize the marriage of three same-sex couples yesterday. The ruling came after the couples, all of whom were married in other states, filed a lawsuit asking Tennessee to recognize marriages performed elsewhere. The state, which has a constitutional amendment prohibiting gay marriage, has not decided whether it will appeal.
