(Newser) – Happy, but baffling, news in Alabama this weekend: A woman's husband reported her missing Friday, and police found her alive that night—in a trash compactor. Birmingham police spotted her car in a parking lot, and K-9 units found her, conscious and able to communicate with officers. Police are still investigating how she got there, WBRC reports. She had no apparent life-threatening injuries, CBS 42 reports.
