(Newser) – Hey, who said stars can't also be smart? PopSugar rounds up 28 celebrities who attended Ivy League schools. A sampling, all of whom graduated:

  • Lupita Nyong'o: Has her master's in drama from Yale.
  • John Legend: Graduated from UPenn with an English degree.
  • Meryl Streep: Got her MFA from Yale's School of Drama.
  • Maggie Gyllenhaal: Both Maggie and brother Jake went to Columbia, but only Maggie graduated; part of her studies: Eastern religions.
  • Connie Britton: She got her degree in Asian studies from Dartmouth.

  • Mindy Kaling: She also has a degree from Dartmouth; hers is in playwriting.
  • Jane Lynch: She has an MFA in theater arts from Cornell.
  • Amanda Peet: She graduated from Columbia.
  • Brooke Shields: She has a degree in French literature from Princeton.
  • Julia Stiles: She has a degree in literature from Columbia.
  • John Krasinski: He has a degree in playwriting from Brown.
  • David Duchovny: He graduated from Princeton, then got a master's at Yale. He even started the PhD program at Yale, but dropped out.
  • Angela Bassett: She has both a bachelor's and a master's degree from Yale.
  • Tommy Lee Jones: He has an English degree from Harvard.

You forgot Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik, has a PhD in Neuroscience.

The degrees listed aren't particularly impressive and don't take extraordinary intelligence to get.
