(Newser) – The post office might not always be the swiftest when it comes to getting letters delivered on time, but that doesn't mean it won't eventually deliver them. Even if they're almost half a century later. Last week, Brooklyn's Susan Heifetz received three missives from 1969, one from her mother, one from her brother, and a third from a man she briefly dated. The post office isn't sure how the late deliveries came to be.

At least they finally received it!! here in 20016 (DC) we find undelivered mail on the street and even undelivered packages on the street!! yes!! And often many parcels delivered but from blocks away with non of even the same address numbers!! The principal carrier is followed by supervisors about 30 percent of the time, but still no improvement although happening for a few years now. I miss about 10-25 percent of my mail that I know about!!. One neighbor had the temerity to complain and now gets no mail because the carrier is now 'afraid' of her barking but housebound dog.
