Kenya's Rita Jeptoo successfully defended her Boston Marathon women's title this morning, becoming the seventh three-time winner and setting a new course record in the process. She crossed the finish line at the 118th marathon with a time of 2:18:57, reports the AP. Meanwhile, 38-year-old Meb Keflezighi claimed the men's title for the Americans for the first time since 1983, finishing in 2:08:37. (A female American last won the race in 1985.)
