Source: Trainer Says Clemens' Wife Took HGH

(Newser) – Brian McNamee told congressional investigators yesterday that Roger Clemens’ wife, Debbie, took human growth hormone, a source tells the New York Daily News. The pitcher's former trainer said Roger asked him to inject Debbie with HGH as she prepared to be photographed for Sports Illustrated's 2003 swimsuit issue, the source said.

The suggestion follows the release of photos showing needles and gauze that may contain Roger Clemens’ DNA, linking him to steroid and HGH use. “This case to me is about science now,” said a McNamee lawyer.  But Clemens’ lawyers say the evidence is “fabricated.” "In my view, you're about to see the second edition of the [discredited] Duke case," said one.
