Necropsies will be performed on about 25 dead cats that were found inside neatly-tied plastic bags hanging from tree limbs in a New York City suburb. Authorities say the cats found yesterday morning in a wooded area of Yonkers were in various stages of decomposition. An SPCA official from Westchester County tells the Journal News that it appears the cats were dead before being put into the bags because any cat would have been able to claw its way out. Authorities say it is too early to tell whether someone had killed the cats or was just disposing of their bodies. (More cats stories.)
