Baltimore Street Collapses, Sending Cars Into Ditch

(Newser) – Emergency officials evacuated residents from a Baltimore neighborhood yesterday as heavy rains and flooding possibly caused a street to collapse into a massive ditch, taking trees and cars along with it. Residents told local reporters they heard a loud rumble like something out of a movie before seeing cars and trees falling into the ditch. The landslide caused the street to collapse onto a CSX rail track just below, but no injuries were reported. Newsy reports:
