(Newser) – Nintendo's upcoming release of Tomodachi Life for the 3DS is already causing controversy. In the game, you create a character, called a Mii, and can go about the world wreaking havoc or even making the characters fall in love. That's where the controversy comes in—only heterosexual couples can get married in the game. Plus, relationships and marriage are part of the game—and some features can't be unlocked unless your character is married. One gay man has started a "Miiquality" campaign in protest, but Nintendo so far isn't budging.

Nintendo has the right to make it's games the way it chooses, and you have the right not to buy them. This country has gone crazy with everyone wanting to start something over anything. Leave it alone - don't like it, don't buy it, watch, it, whatever.
