In escalating order of badness: Police arrested a woman in Humble, Texas, on DWI charges; it happened at 8am on a weekday; and ... she's a middle-school teacher who was on her way to work when arrested. As Click2Houston reports, police say they pulled over a car driven by 48-year-old Patricia (sometimes reported as Patrician) Almond after it began swerving on Highway 59, even grazing a retaining wall. Officers say Almond, who teaches arts and theater in the local school district, emerged with bloodshot eyes and reeking of alcohol. Oh, and another teacher in the same district got busted last week after police found heroin, meth, and stacks of cash in her apartment, reports KHOU-TV. (More weird crimes stories.)
