(Newser) – Alec Baldwin was arrested in New York City this morning—not, as you might have guessed, for roughing up a paparazzo, but for illegal biking. TMZ reports that Baldwin was allegedly bicycling the wrong way down Fifth Avenue, and didn't have his ID on him when police stopped him. He was taken to the station. Details are sketchy—In Touch has two sources, one of whom says Baldwin was "calm and quiet," while the other claims the actor "went ballistic" and was "screaming" at the cops.

I like the way people just jump on this guy, making judgments like they are all perfect. We also have the minority gay takeover of society going on, no one has the gumption to address. Alex dared to treat one of them like a man, by talking to him like men talk to one another when they are angry. None of you would behave better with a bunch of annoying paparazzi following you every day of your life. Alex is good at what he does, He is also direct and honest when he speaks. He doesn't filter to phony politically correct lies. Alex also has strong political opinions. I would imagine those being the real reason someone in the press is after him and trying to take him down. A bike is not a car. Going the wrong way down 5th ave is not a serious crime. People should be more upset about an American being arrested because they forgot their ID. We demonize Alex but do not lament the loss of our freedoms. This is really sad.
