(Newser) – Robin Thicke has not given up on winning back his estranged wife Paula Patton: TMZ reports that he'll perform a new song basically begging her to give him another chance at the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night. The lyrics include, "All I wanna do is make it right" and "I gotta get her, go get her back, I gotta treat her right." The song is creatively named "Get Her Back."

For her part, Patton talked to Vanity Fair about Thicke last week. When asked if they were over for good, she said, "We’ve known each other since we were teenagers. All I can tell you is there’s a deep love there—always was, and always will be." (Click for perhaps the weirdest rumor about the Thicke-Patton breakup we've read so far.)

So! Where the hell was Biggles when you needed him last Saturday? And where were all the sportsmen who always pulled you though? They're all resting down in Cornwall writing up their memoirs for a paper-back edition of the Boy Scout Manual.

TMZ juxtaposed Thicke's songs with those of Marvin Gaye. A shameless ripoff, IMHO. Gaye's son is suing, as he should. Thicke may be 'Marvin Twotimer' or 'Marvin Bisexual,' but he'll never be Marvin Gaye.

Miley Cyrus will probably be twirking in front of him while he does this.
