Beyonce Finally Talks About Elevator Attack

Beyonce, Solange, and Jay Z say they've moved on from the now-infamous elevator fight—and everybody else should too. "There has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it," the trio said in a statement to the AP. "Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred" and "both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."

"The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false," said the statement, the first public comments from the performers since the video showing Solange attacking Jay Z as her sister Beyonce stands by surfaced at the start of this week. "At the end of the day families have problems and we're no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We've put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same." The surveillance video was taken in an elevator in New York City's Standard Hotel, which says it has fired the employee who leaked it, reports the New York Daily News. (More Beyonce stories.)
