Shawn Marion was in the lineup for Miami today, but in the end, the result was the same. This time it was 104-94 against the visiting Los Angeles Lakers, the Heat's 22nd loss in 23 games, reports AP. Kobe Bryant scored 33 points and Lamar Odom was strong on the glass with 18 rebounds. Mark Blount scored 22 for Miami.

LA was cruising after a 16-2 run put them ahead by 17 with eight minutes remaining. Miami cut that to four, thanks in part to six straight by Dwyane Wade, but Pau Gasol's basket on the return trip ended the threat. Marion, who came to Miami in the trade for Shaquille O'Neal, had 15 points and 14 rebounds in his debut. (More basketball stories.)
