(Newser) Yet another senior prank has gone awry. Eight Tennessee high school kids are facing misdemeanor charges—over a food fight. The four juvenile and four adult students from Wilson Central High School apparently didn't "back off" after the fight began on Friday, and were charged with vandalism and disorderly conduct, sheriff Robert Bryan says, per the Lebanon Democrat. And "there are probably more charges to come," adds Bryan. "We are reviewing surveillance video." The charges were levied by school resource officers, the sheriff notes.

The officers heard that something was planned in the cafeteria and got control of the room within minutes, the sheriff says. Still, it was taco day, and apparently plenty of food was hurled, including what may have been eggs brought into the school for the occasion: "It was like a war scene," a senior tells WSMV. Security at local high schools will now be boosted for the rest of the year, Bryan says. The kids are reportedly OK with the vandalism charges, but they're unhappy they've been barred from walking at graduation. "I think everything else we got is tolerable. You gotta do it. But walking the line, that's taking away something that's once in a lifetime," notes one. (For two more senior pranks that ended in arrests this year, click here and here.)
