(Newser) – Another brutal knife attack has been linked to the fictional "Slender Man." This time, the victim was a mother in Hamilton County, Ohio. The attacker: her teen daughter, who, the mom says, is fascinated with the Internet character. The mother speculates that the character may have inspired the attack. "I came home one night from work and she was in the kitchen waiting for me and she was wearing a mask, a white mask," the mother says.

Her daughter appeared to be "playing a role," she says. "She had her hood up and had her hands covered with her sleeves." The 13-year-old had previously written about Slender Man and designed a video game world based on him. She also had existing mental health concerns, her mother notes. The girl doesn't remember the attack, according to the mother, who received minor injuries. The daughter is being held in a juvenile detention center and is facing juvenile charges, WLWT reports.

Eventually, all this violence and intrigue can only make the SlenderMan creator very rich!

The way this girl was dressed during the attack, mirrors that of Slenderman's proxy in Slender: The Arrival. She also liked stabbing things.

"She also had existing mental health concerns," this is the key sentence in this article.
