Points for creativity, at least. Michigan authorities say a man attempted to chuck a football filled with drugs and cellphones into the exercise yard of a state prison in Jackson. Two big problems: The throw fell short, with the ball landing between two fences instead of in the exercise yard. Worse, a guard at the G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility saw him throw it, and Christen D. Moore ended up behind bars himself on contraband charges.

The ball had heroin, marijuana, and tobacco, along with three cellphones and some chargers, reports the Detroit Free Press. The weird part is that an object used to smuggle stuff into prison is often called a "football," reports MLive. "In this case it literally was a football," says a state corrections spokesperson.
