Andrew Stern, husband of Deal or No Deal suitcase model Katie Cleary, shot himself to death Sunday, weeks after Cleary was photographed getting close to Leonardo DiCaprio and Adrian Grenier in Cannes. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the reality show couple (Stern appeared on Millionaire Matchmaker and Cleary was also a contestant on America's Next Top Model) were in the process of getting divorced and Stern was stressed over the marital issues. But Cleary's rep tells the gossip site the photos had nothing to do with Stern's suicide, adding that the couple separated eight months ago.

The rep also insists Cleary and Grenier are just friends, and that Cleary's interactions with DiCaprio were innocent. But Stern's friends say the pictures bothered him, and that part of the reason he filed for divorce in April was that he was humiliated by Cleary's partying with celebrities. The two married in 2010. Stern's friends also tell the gossip site he started feeling lethargic and lacking in libido two years ago, and started injecting human growth hormones and testosterone after visiting a Beverly Hills health center. But after experiencing severe mood swings, he quit the hormone therapy cold turkey about a year ago, which the friends say caused him to go into a deep depression—which was made worse by the failures of both his business and his marriage. Stern shot himself at a California firing range. (More celebrity stories.)
