Hillary-Leaning Super Delegates May Cut, Run

(Newser) – The Clinton campaign is fraught with worries after eight straight Barack Obama victories, and as Hillary loses momentum she may also be bleeding superdelegates, writes the AP's Ron Fournier. Even the most devoted Clinton allies aren't likely to stick around long if it looks like the Good Ship Hillary is capsizing, and many weren't all that devoted to begin with.

"Whatever political capital or IOUs that exist, she has already collected," explained a campaign strategist. And many of the superdelegates are not big Clinton fans. Burned labor leaders, disappointed donors, bullied health care reformers, and former cabinet members feel they've been treated like mere pawns in the Clinton battle strategy, writes Fournier.
