Bulls Crumble Beneath Hornets

Posted Feb 13, 08 3:27 AM CST in Sports

(Newser) – Andres Nocioni collected a game-high 28 points for the Bulls, but the triple threat of Chris Paul, David West and Peja Stojakovic put New Orleans over the top, 100-86. For a while things looked good for Chicago, with Kirk Hinrich returning from injury to help the team build a half-time lead, but things went south after the break, the Sun-Times reports.

"It was the tale of two halves for us," admitted Bulls coach Jim Boylan. It was also a tale of injured stars, as Ben Gordon and Luol Deng remained sidelined with a sprain and a strain. Onetime Chicago center Tyson Chandler grabbed 16 rebounds amid boos from his former fans, while Paul, West and Stojakovic contributed 25, 27, and 27 points.
