Ginobili Catches Fire in Finals Rematch

Posted Feb 13, 08 10:47 PM CST in Sports    Most Covered

(Newser) – Spurs swingman Manu Ginobili had a career-high eight three-pointers and 46 points overall, and San Antonio needed all of it in a 112-105 rematch of last year's finals against Cleveland. Ginobili had 18 points in the decisive fourth quarter, offsetting the same output from LeBron James, who had 39 on the day. Also in the East:

  • Charlotte erased a 12-point halftime hole against Atlanta to win 100-98 in overtime on point guard Jeff McInnis's hook shot.
  • Andre Iguodala's 29 points, eight dishes, and eight boards carried Philadelphia to a 102-88 win over Memphis that clinched a perfect five-game homestand.
