(Newser) Rosewater, the movie Jon Stewart took a hiatus from the Daily Show to direct, is coming to select theaters on November 7. The political drama, Stewart's directorial debut, is based on a memoir about a BBC journalist arrested while covering an Iranian election protest, Entertainment Weekly reports. Gael Garcia Bernal plays the journalist, who was tortured while imprisoned for 118 days. Open Road Films acquired the movie at Cannes and will debut it at the Toronto Film Festival in September.

oh man. An Hour and a half of USA bashing, preaching and PC lecturing. After 30 minutes I would be chewing my leg off to get out of there.

I would say who cares. But the racist bone in me finds it interesting that a Newser is reporting on a jewish person making an anti-Iranian movie.
