A Nebraska man is facing jail time after a friend fell off a golf cart he was driving and died of a head injury, reports the Omaha World-Herald. Cody Dembinski, 24, has been charged with misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide and careless driving. Police say five people were riding in the cart on a city street in Gretna when Dembinski made a right turn and 31-year-old Patrick Jurgensen fell off. "The vehicle shifted weight, and the party on the back fell off the back and struck his head on the concrete," the police told KETV. Because a golf cart is considered a motor vehicle, the rules of the road apply. Dembinski will be in court Aug. 20, and he faces up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine. (More weird crimes stories.)
