Condé Nast Traveler's annual list of America's friendliest cities is out again, and once again Charleston, South Carolina, leads the pack—one of eight Southern cities in the top 10, Opposing Views reports. The Traveler's list, determined by a reader's survey, starts off all South and Southwest, with a little Rocky Mountain detour:

  1. Charleston, South Carolina
  2. Savannah, Georgia
  3. San Antonio, Texas
  4. Telluride, Colorado
  5. New Orleans, Louisiana

Click for the full list, or take a gander at the Traveler's least-friendly US cities:

  1. Newark, New Jersey
  2. Oakland, California
  3. Hartford, Connecticut
  4. Atlantic City, New Jersey
  5. New Haven, Connecticut
Again, see the full list here, or check out America's greenest city—or the world's "least friendly" city. (More US cities stories.)
