The House of Representatives has lawyered up in its quest to sue President Obama, the National Journal reports, and it's not going to be cheap: David Rivkin was key to devising the House's case strategy in the first place. He'll be paid $500 an hour up to a total of $350,000 in a contract that lasts through January, Politico reports. That allows Rivkin's team to work on the case for 700 hours, the Week notes. Rep. Steve Israel, chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, slammed the move: "Only in John Boehner's world does it make sense to pay lawyers $500 per hour to work on a partisan lawsuit while refusing to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 for hardworking Americans trying to feed their families."
