The Coolest Cooler has become Kickstarter's most-funded campaign yet.   (I Use This App)

(Newser) – Call it the Swiss Army knife of coolers—and also the most-funded Kickstarter campaign ever. The Coolest Cooler has raised nearly $11.2 million on the crowdfunding site with just one day to go, kicking the Pebble smartwatch out of the No. 1 slot, reports the Christian Science Monitor. The "60 quarts of AWESOME"—equipped with extra-wide tires to make for easy rolling across the beach—also features a blender, waterproof bluetooth speaker, USB charger, storage space for paper goods, a bottle opener, and a cutting board for impromptu lime-slicing sessions.

Inventor Ryan Grepper came up with the idea for the cooler—which has already garnered a ton of press—about 10 years ago when he was "making a blender out of a weed wacker [and] putting an old car stereo into a cooler," he explains to CNBC via CSM. He first tried to raise funds for the cooler last year right before the holidays, but the winter campaign failed, and Grepper set his sights on improving the device's design and targeting the summer crowd. The cooler is scheduled to start shipping in February 2015 for an estimated retail price of $299, though if you pledge $185 or more, you get $100 knocked off the cost.

You need the stereo to drown out the sound of the diesel generator.

I've seen some guys float down the Illinois with their inventions usually geared more toward holding cold alcholic drinks. I saw a guy who had strapped large coolers together and was enjoying his gentle float in all the comforts life and the river affords. Nothing like a boat made from beer coolers. He decided to beach it just within eyeshot of our camp. He gets out and one of the coolers has sandwich meats, bread, and condiments. Soon he's making sandwiches for like 20 people. There's plenty of beer and wine coolers to go with it. They had themselves a genunine Wilhelm Jeffy and Hillarious Clinton Ar-Kansas hoedown.

Except more and more beaches are outlawing alcohol for obvious reasons
