(Newser) – Luc Richard Mbah a Moute is back for UCLA, and so was the Bruins' confidence in last night's 56-46 defeat of cross-town rival USC. Mbah a Moute's 10 points and boards supplemented Darren Collison's 14 points and Kevin Love's fifteenth double-double (13 points, 11 rebounds) this season. No. 6 UCLA remains a half game ahead of Stanford, AP reports.

The Trojans, who earlier this season were one of the three teams able to take down UCLA, couldn't pull it together this time. Taj Gibson had 16 points and 12 boards, and Dwight Lewis added another 16, but OJ Mayo got an elbow to the mouth and not much else (4 points and 9 rebounds), while giving away 10 turnovers.
