Jesse to Hill, Barack: Make Nice

(Newser) – With an eye on November, Jesse Jackson warned Democrats yesterday to patch up their battle wounds from the ongoing Hillary Clinton-Barack Obama feud or they "could hurt themselves substantially, perhaps irreparably," reports Politico. First on his agenda is making sure that black-Latino tensions are not "exacerbated," he stressed. "You just can’t characterize things as Hispanics for Hillary and blacks for Obama."

Democrats "must distinguish between race-baiting, which is unacceptable, and the need to address race as a moral dilemma," added Jackson, who also warned that superdelegates must not fall "substantially out of line with the popular vote." The most earnest plea, however, was that Obama and Clinton "embrace fervently in Denver and heal campaign wounds," to stave off a GOP November victory.
