Chris Paul showed his mettle again, scoring 31 points in the Hornets' 104-93 besting of Dallas last night, the Times-Picayune reports. " Every camera in America said it was a great starting line up with J-Kidd coming in," Paul said after the game. Kidd, in his first game with Dallas after Tuesday's trade, had eight points. Elsewhere in the NBA:

  • The loss of Kidd did New Jersey no harm, as temporary replacement Marcus Williams' well-timed surge and Vince Carter's 33 pushed the Nets past Chicago in OT, 110-102.
  • Milwaukee snapped a four-game skid against the Pistons, 103-98. Michael Redd posted 27 for the Bucks, who nonetheless sit 19 games behind Detroit in the Central Division.
