Cops: Missing UVa Student Was Seen at Bar With Man

Police searching for a missing University of Virginia student have discovered one more clue about the night she went missing: Hannah Graham was seen sometime between 1 and 2am last Saturday at a bar/restaurant near the downtown pedestrian mall in Charlottesville, reports WUSA. She entered the restaurant with a man, the same person seen on surveillance video putting his arm around her after she apparently got lost on foot after a night out with friends. He bought alcohol, and they left after about 15 minutes, say police. Authorities think Graham left the mall with the unidentified man in his car. Police searched the vehicle yesterday, along with his condo.

"I'm not calling him a suspect," says police chief Tim Longo, as quoted in the Daily Progress. "We're interested in him." The man—described by police as a 6-foot-2, 270-pound black man, age 32—is not in custody. "People saw Hannah. People saw him. People saw them together. Hannah Graham likely got into his vehicle and people likely saw that vehicle. We need to hear from those people who saw something.” Meanwhile, authorities were organizing a massive search today with volunteers from the community. The search includes the nearby Rivanna River.
