A Pennsylvania state trooper was killed yesterday when he was shot in the chest during annual gun training, the Express-Times reports. David Kedra, 26, had been with the state police since 2012. "He died serving the people of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the men and women of the Pennsylvania State Police mourn his loss and extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends," says Commissioner Frank Noonan. The shooting occurred at a gun range in Montgomery County, CBS Philly reports. Officials are investigating, Noonan adds. Kedra's death comes as police seek a survivalist suspected in the recent killing of another state trooper. (More Pennsylvania stories.)
