NBC 6 South Florida has a story about a teenager who lost a leg in an ATV accident last year and is now adjusting to life with a prosthetic. The added twist, though, is that Sam Sartain's mom happened to be looking at a website for dachshund rescues and spotted a dog who lost a leg after getting hit by a car. Pooh needed a home. See where this is headed?

“It’s a weird feeling, because he looked at me and he realized I guess that we had the same situation and he immediately ran over towards me,” Sartain recalls of his first encounter with the dog. They're now best buds, of course. Click for the full story, or to read about a dog that went missing in Pennsylvania only to be found in Oregon. (More uplifting news stories.)
