How can a nun who's already won a huge singing competition outdo herself? How about by taking a steamy song by a controversial artist, releasing a cover of it, and putting out an accompanying music video? That's exactly what "Singing Nun" Cristina Scuccia—who won The Voice of Italy earlier this year belting out an Alicia Keys song and has an album coming out Nov. 11—has done, Mashable reports. Scuccia sings Madonna's "Like a Virgin," though it's more Josh Groban-inspirational here than glitzy '80s pop.

But don't look for Scuccia rolling around on the floor in her habit like Madonna at the 1984 MTV VMAs. "Reading the text, without being influenced by previous interpretations, you discover that it is a song about the power of love to renew people [and] rescue them from their past," she tells Avvenire, per Mashable. She also hopes Madge gets to hear her version, saying, "I'd like to see her face when they tell her it's a nun singing." (More cover song stories.)
