(Newser) – While Tom Brokaw was discussing the election last night live on MSNBC, he was interrupted by an alarm. But no, it wasn't the building going down in flames over the GOP taking control of the Senate—it was just an alarm Brokaw had set on his phone. As an amused Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews looked on, Brokaw proceeded to take the phone out of his pocket and pretend to answer it in a bit many Twitter users called the highlight of the night, the Los Angeles Times reports. "Yes, I will remember to bring home the milk. ... Don't worry about it," Brokaw said. "I'll feed the dog in the morning. Just sleep in, it's going to be OK."
