Alleged cop killer Eric Frein faces two additional charges, this time of terrorism, and he has a letter he allegedly wrote to his parents to thank them. NBC News shares the relevant lines from the letter, which was reportedly found on his hard drive: "What I have done has not been done before and it felt like it was worth a try. ... There is so much wrong and on so many levels [that] only passing through the crucible for another revolution can get us back to the liberties we once had." He also expresses gratitude, ABC News reports, adding, "I love you. Please forgive me of my many faults. And thanks for putting up with me for so long."

The Los Angeles Times reports the charges also stem from an interview Frein gave police after his arrest Oct. 30, in which he allegedly said he "wanted to make a change" in government (the two charges: terrorism to influence the policy of government by intimidation or coercion and terrorism to affect the conduct of a government). However, a lawyer hired by Frein's parents says he was barred access to the accused, who could therefore challenge those statements, the Pocono Record reports. The charges carry maximum sentences of 40 years. (More Eric Frein stories.)
