Reality TV star Diem Brown has died of cancer at age 32, after chronicling her long fight with the disease and becoming an advocate for other patients, reports People. Diem first appeared on MTV's Real World/Road Rules Challenge in 2006, announcing in her debut season that she had just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She beat it the first time around and went on to compete in several other seasons. Diem, however, suffered relapses in 2012 and again this summer.

MTV recounts how she once removed her wig before the cameras in one of the show's most memorable moments. Along the way, she blogged about her cancer here and started MedGift, a registry for those with cancer or any illness. "I want people to know that the fight is worth it," she said in October. "And that's something that's so important for me." (More reality TV stories.)
