Tiger Makes It 5 Straight

Posted Feb 24, 08 7:26 PM CST in Sports    Most Covered

(newser) – Tiger Woods moved past Arnold Palmer on the all-time PGA Tour wins list today, earning No. 63 against Stewart Cink, 8-and-7, in the WGC Match Play Championship final. Woods' game was scorching in the Arizona sun as he made 14 birdies in the 29 holes played, reports the AP. He takes home $1.35 million for his efforts.

The victory was Woods' fourth straight on the PGA Tour, and fifth straight including a stunning win in Dubai 3 weeks ago. He also holds all three World Golf Championships events titles. The man with an eye on the Grand Slam knows he's on a roll, too, saying, "I think this is the best stretch I've ever played."
