The San Antonio Spurs won their sixth straight game on the strength of another solid performance from Tim Duncan. The four-time NBA champion had 23 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks in an 89-74 win over the Atlanta Hawks. Joe Johnson had 17 points to lead the Hawks, who have now lost two games in a row, reports AP.
The Spurs started out ice-cold, scoring only five points in a disastrous first quarter and only had 30 at halftime. But San Antonio stuck with it and held Atlanta to 11 third-quarter points, forced them to shoot 33% from the field for the game, and harassed them into committing 22 turnovers, eight of them from Josh Smith.
