Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid was hospitalized after suffering an injury while exercising in his Nevada home yesterday. His office says Reid broke a number of ribs and bones in his face when a piece of equipment he was using to exercise broke, causing the senator to fall. Reid was treated at St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson, Nevada, and then transferred to University Medical Center in Las Vegas. He remained overnight as a precaution. His office says he will return to Washington this weekend and be in the Senate when Congress convenes on Tuesday; doctors expect him to fully recover. (More Harry Reid stories.)
