(Newser) – President Obama is back in DC after a two-week Hawaii vacation, and one detail of how he spent his 15th day in paradise is grabbing a few headlines: In addition to beach time and a visit to the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (his mother's father is buried there), Obama and his girls visited with Pearl Jam lead singer Eddie Vedder on Saturday afternoon. The Washington Post reports that Vedder lives part-time in the state, also likes Chicago sports, and has rubbed shoulders with Obama before: The musician performed at a fundraiser for Obama in Florida in 2012 and managed to get in a birther joke, quipping that the ukulele he was playing had its own "little birth certificate."
