A lawyer in San Diego County found himself in trouble with the law when police busted up a party at his house to celebrate his daughter's 18th birthday. Theme: "Liv's Playboy Mansion," reports 10News. Deputies say somewhere between 150 and 200 teens were there, many of them underage and drinking, and some of them clad in scanty bunny costumes in keeping with the theme. Authorities detained Jeff Lake, 48, who specializes in medical marijuana cases, and accused him of violating a local "social host ordinance" that forbids providing an environment where underage drinking takes place, says the TV station.

Deputies, who say they found two unconscious teenage boys among the revelers on Friday night, also plan to give Lake a $3,600 bill to cover their expenses, reports the Pomerado News. (A helicopter was involved.) Lake has issued a statement that includes the wording of the party invitation, which emphasizes that it will be a "clean" and "safe" party, and that guests who don't behave will be kicked out. (But it also includes some party attire suggestions including "Chip n' dales dancers" for the guys and "playboy bunny costumes" for the girls.) He blames the trouble on "uninvited troublemakers on a public street" and claims he was never formally arrested, though he was handcuffed and spent a night in jail. (Another recent 18th birthday celebration led to a teen's legs being severed.)
