Ugh! 10 Worst Smiles in Music

Posted Feb 28, 08 5:07 PM CST in Gossip Arts & Living

(Newser) – Inspiring melodies and tongue-twisting rhymes may issue from their pipes, but for some rockers the sound passes through a terrifying portal. Blender inspects the 10 worst sets of teeth in music, starting with the bottom of the barrel.

  1. Pogues frontman Shane McGowan's utterly decomposed dents
  2. Amy Winehouse's missing canine
  3. Young David Bowie, pre-American makeover
  4. Trick Daddy's gold grill; more like precious dentures

  1. Clash guitarist Mick Jones' unfortunately authentic British chompers
  2. Jewel's snaggle tooth; a yodeling aid, perhaps?
  3. Madonna and her signature gap, though it's worked for 20 years
  4. Houston MC (and jeweler!) Paul Wall's gold grill
  5. Thom Yorke's crooked teeth (hey, he looks better than Johnny Greenwood)
  6. Keith Richards' missing molars
