KFC Launches Double Down Dog
Who needs a bun when you have meat?   (KFC Philippines)

Almost half a decade after it gave the world the Double Down, KFC has unveiled another sandwich that could give health advocates coronaries. Take a hot dog, slather it with cheese, put it in a bun-sized piece of fried chicken, and you have the Double Down Dog—which has now made its debut in the Philippines, reports USA Today. Only 50 of what KFC calls an "outrageously meaty" sandwich are available each day at select outlets, and there do not appear to be any plans to bring the Double Down Dog to the US. "It seems as though America is not yet ready, which is either a blessing or a curse. Only time, and blood tests, will tell," quips Neha Prakash at Mashable. (More Double Down sandwich stories.)
