John McCain uttered today's most memorable phrase on Capitol Hill, telling a group of protesters to "get out of here, you low-life scum," report the Hill. He was speaking to protesters from the group Code Pink, who disrupted the start of a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing with chants calling for the arrest of Henry Kissinger as a war criminal.

“You know, you're going to have to shut up, or I'm going to have you arrested,” McCain said as police were removing the protesters. “Get out of here, you low-life scum.” The remark drew applause, notes ABC News. McCain then apologized to Kissinger, who seemed unfazed by the whole affair. “I've been a member of this committee for many years, and I have never seen anything as disgraceful and outrageous and despicable as the last demonstration that just took place,” said McCain.
