Mike Bibby gave his old team a demonstration of all his skills—from the wrong side of the court, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. In his home debut with Atlanta following a move from Sacramento, Bibby put up 24 points, 12 assists and five rebounds to lift Atlanta past the Kings,123-117.  "We got the win," said Bibby. "It was definitely needed."

The star player is "something we haven't had since I've been here—so I don't want to screw him up," commented coach Mike Woodson. Bibby was joined by captain Joe Johnson's 26 points and Josh Childress' 25 as the Hawks matched their season-best point total. Sacramento's new point guard, Beno Udrih, finished with 25 points and eight assists on the night. (More NBA stories.)
